This is the rough cut of our opening scene for Fun House, we have edited our shots and changed the sound. Any comments and suggestions will be welcomed.
1. Could do with losing the background sound on the first few shots - replace it with either a sound effect or a recording of ambient sound, in order to cover the camera clicks and buzz 2. The shot as 0.42 is too long 3. Where you have panning shots (e.g. at 0.51) make sure that you cut the shot as the pan starts (so you don't end up with a static shot before that pan) 4. You've got too many shots of houses. You need to get into the plot by about 1 min 5. The title needs to be moved to the left 6. Could do with bringing in the sound of footsteps during the "footsteps" sequence 7. Make the fade before the dialogue sequence longer - have about a second black before the scene 8. Odd cross-fade at 2.02 9. Need to clean up the audio on the dialogue scene 8. Slightly glitchy edit about 2.13 9. During the dialogue scenes, crossfade the audio, (but not the video) 10. Editing is slightly odd when the clown thing happens - watch it back and listen to it again 11. Don't fade in the music again - you could do with something more chilling during the clown attack
